Through pen, pencil, and occasional oil painting, I explore the intersection of mental health, healing, and human connection. My experiences as a support professional have provided me with a deep understanding of the complexities individuals face, such as dual diagnoses and substance misuse. Witnessing the limitations of traditional therapeutic approaches, I was drawn to explore alternative methods of healing.  From using art as an escape in Zimbabwe to my work in UK social services, my journey has shaped my belief in the transformative power of art as a therapeutic intervention. This is reflected in my practice, where intimate pen and pencil drawings, alongside vibrant oil pieces, allow me to explore the nuances of my own human experience.  Each artwork is rooted in my experiences—university, placements, supported housing, and community settings—where I have observed firsthand how art bridges communication gaps and fosters healing beyond what words alone can achieve.  This portfolio is not just a display of creative work, but a reflection of my journey toward art psychotherapy. It embodies my belief that art has a unique capacity to express what words cannot, creating space for deeper understanding and connection.
